Sunday 26 October 2025 | Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool

By Jove, it’s time for a right good giggle! The much-loved Doddy Day Happiness Show returns to Liverpool’s Royal Court Theatre for its sixth spectacular year — celebrating what would have been Sir Ken Dodd’s birthday with an afternoon packed full of laughter, music, and merriment.

Hosted once again by the ever-cheerful MC Sam Avery, the show brings together some of the UK’s finest comedians, singers, and all-round mirth-makers to honour the Squire of Knotty Ash and his legacy of laughter.

This year’s line-up features:

  • Tim Lucas – fresh from landing the role of Sammy in the UK tour of Blood Brothers, performing timeless classics from Elton John, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and more.

  • Sioned Terry – acclaimed mezzo-soprano who has toured with Britain’s Got Talent finalists John’s Boys Male Voice Choir and performed alongside Sir Ken himself.

  • Plus, a host of familiar faces and hilarious acts yet to be announced!

As tradition demands, expect jam butties, tickling sticks, and plenty of tattyfilarious fun in a true celebration of all things Doddy.

Adding to the festivities, Lady Anne Dodd will appear on stage in conversation with Tony Nicholson, sharing clips from Ken Dodd’s Happiness Show – The Lost Tapes. Signed books and DVDs will be available for purchase.

So polish your tickling stick, warm up your chuckle muscles, and join us for an unforgettable afternoon overflowing with Happiness!
